Well to start of I would like to say that the idea of trying to create our own hovercraft is pretty exciting. I never thought that i would get to experiment something like this and its almost time for us to get started. So, to start off we had to evaluate and watch videos about people creating hovercrafts. We did this to get to see and actually get an idea of how they are made. On one video I watched a guy design and actually make a floating device into a hovercraft. He inflated the device and cut off the internal part to make the base of the craft itself. To make the experiment work and get it off the ground he used a leaf blower, but he said that he need another one to actually elevate it at least 20 inches off the ground. Another video I evaluated had a guy making a hovercraft with wood and a leaf blower as well. He took two pieces of squared wood and cut them both into medium sized circles. With an electric saw he cut a hole into one of the sides of both pieces. Later he took a thick plastic wrap and stapled and glued the pieces of wood together with the plastic wrap in the middle. After that he also cut a hole into the wrap put place a leaf blower through the hole to complete the hovercraft. Finally after watching these videos i have learned and understanded how to create a hovercraft. These videos have given me ideas to try and create my own. They have also inspired me to make a more complex and better hovercraft then the ones that they have created. I cant wait until we get this experiment going!
